Class day out!

As it is nearly the end of term, 1A had a class day out.
First we went to Breck Farm. We saw lots of animals and enjoyed feeding and petting them.

We weren't all so keen on the hens and ducks, but felt a bit braver when we knew they were a safe distance away!

There were even small animal, such as guniea pigs and rabbits for us to see.

After an exciting morning at the farm, we headed to Firth playpark in the afternoon. It was great fun having a go on all of the equipment.

We all had a great day and are now looking forward to having a lovely Summer holiday!

Healthy Dips

Today we made some yummy healthy dips.

The first dip was called 'Broccomoli'. We mixed broccoli with yoghurt, lemon juice and mayonnaise.

The second dip was carrot and cucumber. We grated some cucumber and carrot.

While we waited we cut up the vegetables we were going to use as dippers.

We mixed the carrot and cucumber with yoghurt and it was ready to eat.

We all tried them both. The carrot and cucumber dip was slightly more popular then the Broccomoli. Maybe we will try some different flavours next time.

Royal Wedding

We had a really fun week getting things ready for our Royal Wedding party!

We made some tasty buns to have at the party and iced them.

After looking at pictures of the carriage William and Kate would be travelling in, we made our own carriages out of junk. They all looked very good.

We also made our own souviner plates.

On Friday we joined 1C and 1F to watch the Wedding on the smartboard.

We sat and had some juice and ate the buns and biscuits that were made while we watched.

We had made some super Wedding hats!

And of course we couldn't have a party without a bit of dancing!

Everyone had a great time and will hopefully all remember what we did to celebrate the Royal Wedding in years to come.
